Lippye Privacy Policy

On-device processing

Lippye performs speech recognition and transcript cleanup locally on your device using models included in the app. Lippye does not upload recordings, transcripts, notes, or keyboard drafts to the developer or to third-party inference services. No account is required. The app contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.

Microphone

Microphone permission is used when you start recording. Recording controls and the listening indicator show when recording is active. You can deny or revoke permission in system Settings. The keyboard and saved-note features do not require recording permission.

Local storage and retention

Transcripts, original recognized text, saved notes, and the current keyboard draft are stored in the app’s local container. The library and recovery audio are excluded from automatic device backups. There is no built-in cloud sync. Export important notes before uninstalling the app or replacing your device.

Dictation history expires 24 hours after creation. Saved notes remain until you delete them. Deleted notes can be restored for 24 hours and are then removed. Expiry is applied when the app runs or returns to the foreground; it cannot run while the operating system suspends the app. Clear All Dictations removes inactive dictation history and recovery audio while keeping saved notes and any active recording.

Audio is temporarily stored locally while processing or recovering an interrupted recording. Completed recordings’ audio is removed after processing; interrupted recording audio remains available until recovery, deletion, or expiry. The keyboard draft is saved locally until replaced or cleared. Removing the app removes its local data, subject to the operating system’s behavior.

Copying and sharing

Only when you choose Copy, Paste, or Share does Lippye interact with the system clipboard or a destination such as Apple Notes, AirDrop, or another compatible app. Content that you export is governed by the destination’s privacy policy and settings, including any cloud synchronization. Clipboard behavior is controlled by the operating system. Lippye does not control exported copies and cannot delete them when the local original expires.

Security

Lippye uses the operating system’s app sandbox and protected local storage. Keep your device secured and review content before sharing. No software or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Apple services and support

Apple handles App Store purchases and may process diagnostics according to your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy. If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request. Please avoid including private recordings or transcripts unless needed for your support request.

This website

This website uses no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, cookies, or contact forms. Cloudflare hosts and protects it and processes request information such as IP addresses and browser metadata to deliver and secure the site. Support messages you send by email are processed by email providers to route and respond to your request. This website hosting does not process your in-app dictation or notes.
